How to identify the right rice mill screen

Screen names repeat across machine families, and one machine usually carries several different screen positions. A replacement is only correct when the model, the size and the material all match the part coming off the machine. This guide sets out the check Rimpex uses when a buyer sends an inquiry.

Start with the machine, not the part name

The model stamped on the machine plate is the only reliable starting point. “Silky screen” describes a function, not a fit: a KB 40 screen and a VTA 12 screen are both whitening components and share nothing else.

Read the plate, then open that model page. Every screen, roller and spare Rimpex lists for the model appears together, so the position you are replacing can be compared against the alternatives on the same machine.

Match the catalog fields, not just the model

Each Rimpex record lists the properties recorded in the supplier catalogue. A screen can carry the right model name and still be the wrong part if the measurements differ, so check every field against the part in hand.

Check the variant suffix before ordering

Several models are sold in more than one variant, and the suffix is the difference between a part that fits and one that does not.

Photograph the part you are replacing

Photographs resolve most identification questions faster than a description. A useful set is: the machine plate, the face of the worn screen, a close-up of the edge, and a tape measure laid across the width.

Send the photographs with the model and quantity. If the part is not in the catalog at all, the same set lets the sales desk tell you whether it can be sourced.

Send the inquiry with quantity and destination

Add the parts to the quote list and send the list on WhatsApp, or call the sales desk. Include the machine model, the quantity of each part and the delivery city — quotes are prepared per order because price depends on model, material and quantity.

Questions buyers ask

How do I find the screen for my machine model?

Search the model stamped on the machine — KB 40, VTA 12, N3, DRPF — or open the machine model page, which groups every screen, roller and spare listed for that model. Match the existing part on size in millimetres, degree, thickness and material before ordering.

What does the degree value on a screen mean?

Degree is a dimensional property recorded for each screen in the supplier catalogue, alongside size, thickness and weight. It is listed so a replacement can be checked field by field against the part already on the machine.

Can I order a size that is not listed?

The catalog covers the sizes recorded in the supplier catalogue. If the size on your machine is not listed, send the measurements and a photograph of the existing part to the sales desk so the request can be checked against what is available.

What is a blind or “without hole” silky screen?

Some silky screen positions use a screen with no perforations, listed in the catalog as “Without Hole” or blind. It is a different part from the perforated screen of the same model, so check which position on the machine you are replacing.
